Blogmas 2020 - My Christmas Wishlist

Blogmas 2020 – My Christmas Wishlist

My Mum asked me to write a Christmas list back in August, before I’d even had my birthday. Now, I struggled this year to write things down. We’re moving into a smaller place and most of my books and all of my Lego sets are packed away in storage for the forseeable future, so what on earth was I going to ask for?

I came up with a little list and you guessed it both of those things are on the list…oops!

General Bits

friends lego

Friends Lego Set

I’ve had my eye on this set for a while. I grew up with friends in the background (it literally started the year I was born) and it became a firm favourite, something I can have on whenever and still remember a lot of lines. I think it would be so fun to build the set!

Waterstones Voucher

I know for a fact a lot of my friends and families don’t want to buy me books because they don’t know what I’ve read and what I haven’t read. So I add a Waterstones voucher to my Christmas list. It’s also pretty fun popping to the shop after Christmas and being able to go to my local bookshop and ask my bookseller friends for their opinion.

They’re actually my friends by the way, that’s not me getting over excited.

Anything Dalmatian

101 Dalmatians has been one of my favourite films since I was in a high chair and made my Mum watch it every damn day. Recently Dalmatian’s seem to be ‘in’ but that is fine with me as long as they don’t do another remake, Glen Close was perfect as live action Cruella in 1999 and it’s the only live action Disney film I accept.

Clementine Gin from M&S

Ok, so three things. One – it’s Clementine gin, yum. Two – it has gold flecks and a Christmas theme. Three – it lights up!!! Need I say more? They also do another flavour but I can’t remember what it is. It’s so pretty!

Loungefly

I’ve got a fair collection going now so this was just a little add on – I don’t expect to get it but you never know!

Books

Of course, I’m asking for books – what else would I ask for?

The How & The Why – Cynthia Hand

This has been on my want to read list for a while, it’s about a girl who was given up for adoption looking for answers and also about her mother at the same age and her life. Definitely looks like an emotional read.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – Taylor Jenkins Reid

If you’ve followed my blog for a while you might be thinking hang on didn’t you already read that? The answer is yes and it’s one of my favourites so I really want a physical copy. Also, how beautiful is this cover?

The Dark Vault - V.E Schwab

The Dark Vault V.E. Schwab

I absolutely love V.E Schwab and I’m making my way through all her books. I hardly ever see copies of The Dark Vault and I’m intrigued by the concept. Also she’s become one of my auto-buy authors, I’ll read pretty much anything she writes.

House of Salt and Sorrows – Erin A Craig

I always try and add in some kind of fantasy on my wishlist, because who knows what you might find. Last year it was Serpent and Dove which has turned out to be a new series I love, so here’s hoping! This is loosely based on 12 dancing princesses but with suspected murder. I’m down.

What are you hoping for this Christmas? Let me know in the comments below!

Blogmas Day 8: Christmas Wishlist

So, what’s on my list to Santa this year, well here’s a peak! This year I honestly didn’t know what to ask for so these are just things I’ve seen and thought, that looks cool!

Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them Illustrated Edition

I am a huge fan of the illustrated editions because they’re just so beautiful and well thought out. So, of course, I put this at the top of my list. I can’t wait to see what the illustrator came up with.

Harry Potter A History of Magic

I’m going to be going to the exhibition in London and after flicking through this in my local Waterstones I’m so excited for the exhibition but, at the same time, I’m not keen on having to carry this hefty hardback around London so hopefully, I’ll find it under the tree!

Guylian Chocolates

Do these even need explaining. They’re so, so good. SO GOOD.

Nike Sports Bra & Bottoms

I want to get really into my fitness because I’ve been slipping (again!) so I’d love some new work out clothes. Also, can we appreciate how beautiful these are that I found on Pinterest it’s a shame they’re from the 2014 collection!

A History of Britain in 21 Women

I saw this on Leena Norm’s Youtube channel (link here) and it sounds amazing and I want to know more about some of the incredible women from my own country.

Reptar Pop Vinyl

The Rugrats were a huge part of my childhood, I saw this and thought it looked so adorable. He’s so tiny and cute!

Harry Potter Primark – Anything!

The new range at Primark has made me fall in love, I want all of it. I just said to my family if you’re stuck just pop into Primark there’ll be something!

My Topshop Dress Wish List

img_6822-1

Recently I’ve been getting a little bit obsessed with finding clothes to wear when I’m either working or going to nice events. It cropped up on me that I only have a few smart dresses and more than a few smart events that I have to attend. While I’ve picked up a small set of working outfits for as soon as I get a job (which I’m hoping will be sooner rather than later). I decided to try something a little different on my blog tonight (part of my new blog plans, I can’t wait for you to see!) and show you my Topshop Spring/Summer 2016 wishlist.

I love this cute little dress! Now, I am partial to a good black dress but I also love colour, so this is the best of both worlds. It’s also something that I could be comfortable in whilst still looking smart. I would definitely pair this with either a pair of converse or Doc Martens for everyday and then some black pumps for work.

Something a little smarter and brighter for the next dress on my wishlist. I find this shape really flattering on my body shape, i.e. having a set of boobs and a bum. It’s something I’d have to try on but would look great with a pair of low heels for something a little more formal. Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 19.18.42

This is definitely the most feminine of the dresses on this list. I’m not really a girly girl but I could definitely see myself wearing this to a wedding or summer party. I love the rose design and the fact it look painted, yet expensive! It definitely looks very expensive too so I’m impressed with the price!

Although I would say this is more of a Autumn/ Winter dress, something I’d pair with some thick black tights or leggings and some boots. Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 19.18.02

This on the other hand is very cute and summery, something I’d love to add to my wardrobe to give it a bit of a lighter tone. There’s so many colours on here too there would lots of choice for accessories too. Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 19.16.51

This feels like it is a great staple piece. I’ve seen these absolutely everywhere and I was so happy because you can do so much with them! Want a laid back look? Throw  on a band t-shirt and some Doc Martens. If I need something a little smarter for work or an event then I could just wear a stripy long sleeved shirt. Sorted.

I love this so, so much. It’s a cute 1940s kind of style and a beautiful simple design too so that it’s pretty but not to in your face. This would definitely be a great dress for smart casual.Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 19.11.33

Again this is something that can work both ways depending on accessories. In the summer it can be a light dress just to chill out in and then in the winter a thick roll neck or long sleeved t-shirt.
