Concerts I'm looking forward to this year

Concerts I’m Looking Forward To This Year!

I absolutely LOVE live music. When I was at uni I went to so many gigs with Ali, I used to play a lot of live music, it’s something I’m still in love with and whenever I can I’ll go see some of my favourites live. 2019 has ended up being full of concerts that I booked last year…and I haven’t even booked any smaller shows with Ali yet! So let’s take a look at what I’m going to be up to…

George Ezra Tour 2019

George Ezra

Since I the first time I heard George Ezra’s voice I’ve wanted to see him live but have never been able to get tickets. That all stops in March when I take my sister to see him as part of her Christmas present. Buzzing!

The Vamps

A free ticket and the promise of a meal before hand? Of course I was going. I’ve taken my sister to see them a few times and it’s actually been quite a fun show!

The Spice Girls Tour 2019

The Spice Girls

I’ve been a HUGE fan of the Spice Girls since I was 2 years old and they were my first concert in 1999. I wasn’t sure originally but I couldn’t really turn it down. After Ticketmaster crashing a few times I finally got tickets and will be dusting off my Spice gear in June!

Ariana Grande Tour 2019

Ariana Grande

Sweetener was probably my favourite album of 2018, I played it constantly from when it was released and then Thank U Next dropped. I tried 3 times to get Ariana tickets and ended up paying a bit more than I originally planned but I am so excited.

Little Mix Tour 2019

Little Mix

LM5 was another amazing album last year and the last time I saw Little Mix they were really good. I love the positive self-love vibes from the album, so this is going to be a good one!

Aaaaaand that’s all of them for now. I don’t doubt there will be more gigs, although a lot of my favourite Rock and Pop Punk bands have recently toured or are heading back into the studio next year so we’ll have to see!

Are you booked to see any gigs next year? Let me know in the comments below!

2019 Book Releases

5 2019 Book Releases I Can’t Wait To Read

A New Year means a whole load of new releases to come. Yep, that is something I get super excited about it so I thought why not share it with all of you? Without further ado here are the 5 2019  Book Releases I Can’t Wait To Read.

The Curses - Laure Eve

The Curses – Laure Eve

I absolutely loved The Graces and couldn’t WAIT to read the second in the series. This was meant to come out last year but got pushed to this year. I can’t wait to find out what happens next after the first books ending.

Two Can Keep A Secret – Karen M. McManus

In 2017 I read McManus’s One Of Us Is Lying and devoured it in one day. So, when I heard about another novel from her, of course, I wanted it! Secrets, lies and death, what more could you want?

Internment – Samira Ahmed

My first read of 2018 was Samira Ahmed’s debut novel Love, Hate and Other Filters and I absolutely LOVED it. Internment considers an America where Muslims are put into internment camps. Not only am I excited to read this, I can’t wait for it to do some good in the world.

The Hormone Diaries – Hannah Witton

I think Hannah Witton is a brilliant Youtuber. I’ve been watching her for a few years now and was really interested in her Hormone Diary videos. These were Hannah’s experiences on coming off the pill and her experiences of contraception, all the videos are here.

Her first book was absolutely fantastic and I’ve already pre-ordered this one. I cannot wait!

A Court Of Thorns and Roses #4 – Sarah J Maas

While I’m writing this there is no title, no cover, no synopsis, just the fact that this is the next book in one of my favourite series. Really, there isn’t much I can say but I’m still super excited. If you haven’t read A Court of Thorns and Roses you can check out my first review

I’m fully aware that all of these are YA, but, they are what I’m most looking forward to. I’d love to hear some recommendations below from all of you. What are you looking forward to?

Hello 2019

Hello 2019!

Well, here it is, we’re in 2019. Hopefully, those of you who went partying last night are starting to feel a little more human by now!

We have a whole new year ahead of us. 364 more days to do whatever we want to do – yippie! Now, I can’t even remember the amount of people who ask me EVERY year what my resolution is and it’s always the same – I don’t have one.

Instead of setting resolutions I try and look at the bigger picture. I don’t say I’m going to go to the gym once a week this year. Firstly, because I won’t happen but also because of this warped pressure in a cold and dark month – no thanks!

In 2019 I want to focus on myself and my happiness. Does that sound selfish? Maybe, but why is that a dirty word? I’ve been known to give and give to others without looking after myself and that’s something I’m going to work on.

As with every year, there will be ups and down but I’m looking forward to seeing what happens and what opportunities come from hard work. Let’s be real, just because I’m going to look after myself better doesn’t mean I won’t be working my arse off!

Are you going to be working on self-love this year? Do you make resolutions? I’d love to know in the comments below!

Happy New Year!
